Hi friends- did you have a good weekend? Mine was full of wedding fun and time with my sister. Pretty good all around. What did you do? I have a pretty standard week ahead but-I’m already thinking about the weekend!
I thought I’d do a post about things that I’m using and loving right now so that maybe you will like some of them too!
This stuff is amazing. Not only is it plant based, gluten free, diary free, and soy free- it tastes good! I usually blend it up and make green smoothies (coconut milk, banana and nut butter)- but you can actually just add water to this one, shake, and go. You can find it at whole foods.
Just like the birch box (which I just subscribed to) for $15 a month- you get hand picked healthy treats and lifestyle products by celeb nutritionist Heather Bauer. You don’t know what you’re going to get and I will admit my first box was not very exciting but the last two- including this one- are amazing (note the eaten bag of lentil chips)
Alright- by far pretty much my favorite thing right now. If you like fizzy water- you MUST buy this. I was buying poland spring 24/7 and now my recycling is like less than half of what it used to be. If you buy it at bed bath and beyond, you can use their 20% off coupons. I love it love it love it. You can add a lemon or lime slice and you’re good to go.
Scented Candles
These two are from my favorite place- Target (tarjay). They are both soy wax candles and scented with essential oils instead of harsh perfumes. They smell amazing and I know everyone’s tastes are different but I do think target has a nice size selection so you could find one that’s perfect for you. The Pink Magnolia is by Illume Candles and the Fig and Redwood is by Chesapeake Bay Candle.
I don’t wear a lot of makeup during the work week (hardly ever during the day) because I need to sweat for my profession. And although I have been blessed with great skin (thank you mom) I noticed that because I sweat and then touch my face- well duh- there are germs and you become more prone to breakouts. Eww. And while I do like products- I’ve become more and more away about what I’m putting in the inside and on the outside. My friend Jenn who is a fabulous makeup artist and yogini, told me about MyChelle. Their products are vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, paraben free, and I can actually read and pronounce the ingredients. Their products can be a little pricey- I was doing some online research and it looks like their website has sales pretty often. Right now through the end of September everything is 20% off.
I have been using these as aromatherapy in some of my yoga classes- however, pure therapeutic grade essential oils have lots of uses! Some of these you can actually infuse your water with (lemon, peppermint, grapefruit), make your own massage oils, create your own bug repellent, massage on cuts and scars, use for sore muscles, diffuse in your house for a clean scent, get rid of a headache, ward off a cold…the list goes on! Young living also has a whole host of other products. I can get you them at a whole sale price so let me know if you are interested (I have a webpage linked up with them but I am still searching for the exact link).
I hope you like my list! I will definitely do more of these posts so you can see things I’m using and testing out. I will hopefully have a recipe for you later this week. I was in whole foods and wegmans earlier and they had pumpkins galore! A fall to do list is in order and I will be sure to share! I hope you all are having a great start to the week!
Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Theresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. ~Life’s Little Instruction Book
I’ll remember this the next time I say I’m too tired.
Xoxo- C

Did you forget this parting quote on Friday?!??!
