I hope you guys all had a great holiday weekend! I had four days off and it was amazing, but I am def looking forward to getting into the swing of things. I had a good time with family and friends, I went running (!!), and I indulged in some goodies.
I spent the day in DC today in the HEAT! l I felt like I was frying into an egg on the sidewalk, but who doesn’t love day trips!?
The National Portrait Gallery has a lot of interesting work and best of all- it’s FREE
These were just a few pics that I snapped because I wasn’t really sure if I was supposed to be taking pictures in the first place.
To be honest this was the first weekend in a while where I wasn’t dashing off to here and there with a million plans. It felt nice to just be in the moment and decided where the day and night was going to take me.
How did you spend your long weekend?
As you know I went to the herb festival, celebrated my grandmother’s bday, went to DC, and indulged in some yummy food and drinks. Green smoothie tomorrow for sure.
Was there anything beautiful that caught your eye over the weekend?
All the families together! Even though we all know that family time can sometimes be- overwhelming
- I just think it’s nice to see that people actually take the time to be with each other when they have one day off! My mom and I had a lot of bonding time. ![]()
I hope you guys had a great Monday and that your week is off to a fantastic start! Stay cool! Hydrate!! Add lemon or an orange slice to your water and make a green smoothie if you ate too many goodies over the weekend.
xoxo, C
