Weekend Wrap-Up

Hi Friends! How was your weekend??? Mine was a bit busy and it was full of work, friend, and family time.

010  Happy Birthday Ali!!!

I spent some time during the day on Saturday and Sunday working at Charm City Yoga with the teacher trainers and then today I had some family bonding time with these two.

We went to Thai Arroy in Federal Hill for dinner.  YUM!

This is my favorite!  Drunken noodles with tofu! So good!

If you haven’t been to Thai Arroy- you need to go! They don’t take reservations so beware! And you can bring your own wine or beer.

**Something to think about**

When I was with my girls on Friday night for Ali’s birthday, my dear friend Kate asked us all what our summer goals were.  While this kind of made me laugh as she’s a counselor in real life, I thought it was nice to think about

I said what I talked about here.  I want to be authentic in everything I do and try to be present in every moment of my life.

I’ve talked about this before but I think it’s really easy to feel like we have to live up to societies standards.  But the reality is- it’s OK to just be you!

According to Wikipedia:

Authenticity refers to the truthfulness of origins, attributions, commitments, sincerity, devotion, and intentions.

I think to live authentically (and full of zest!) means that you just have to stay true to you.  Always.  Even if that means going against the flow sometimes.  It means to find your own joie de vivre: what makes you  happy and fulfilled.

If you feel like you’re life is maybe lacking in energy, creativity, passion, and pure joy- I think you  need to simply cultivate awareness.  Nothing has to change right now but simply take a step back and just be aware of what is going on.  Are you thinking negatively all the time? Is there a lack of space for you to breathe or take time just for you? Well- unroll your island and put your legs up the wall and put a towel over your eyes.  Just be still and see what happens.

Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well. ~Gandhi

I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend!!!
