It’s November

5 Nov flowers

sishalHi my loves- it’s been a while but I am hoping to keep posting soon!  Things have been busy- lots of teaching, yoga training, and spending time with family and friends.  My weekend was pretty low key (I am trying to keep the beginnings of a cold away).  I taught in the teacher training, went to see Cloud Atlas ( I liked it but a bit too long), and took a nap or two.  What about you?

muffinsI am totally in love with the fall weather but it is getting cold fast and I am so not ready for winter.  While we endured hurricane Sandy last week I did a bit of baking.  I posted these gluten-free muffins on facebook and many of you were curious about how to make them.  I actually found the recipe on pinterest.  I try to be gluten free but I have really been off the wagon so here’s the getting back on!  You can find the recipe here but I added fresh blueberries and I used agave instead of molasses/honey because that’s what I had.  You can also use earth balance instead of actual butter.  Also just remember that all ovens are different so temperature and length of bake time might need to be adjusted.

There’s been some green going on as well.

juice

Green juice- in the mix was romaine lettuce, kale, pear, lemon, apple ginger.  So good.

This is the usual- vega protein powder in vanilla, coconut milk, banana, and nut butter.  Amazing.

presleyAnd probably one of the more exciting things- the fur children.  Presley is my first pet.  I never had a cat or dog growing up and as you all know- I love him to death (even though he sometimes pounces at my head and bites me).  M and I had gerbils and my dad had snakes but you can’t really cuddle with any of those things.

marmsM and I would always see little orange cats and call them marmalade so when I happened to see one up for adoption- I just couldn’t resist his little face.  I adopted him from Charm City Animal Rescue and he was actually free.  If you LIKE their facebook page- every day they post pics of the animals being fostered.

kittens

So I named him Marmalade and well, he’s a kitten alright.  Jumps up onto the stove and into the trashcans!  But look how adorable!? So precious.  Both the brothers have been getting along pretty well (they are both sleeping as I type this. One on my bed and the other on the unfolded pile of laundry).  Unfortunately Presley is going though a cancer scare right  now and I am trying to stay positive so send him lots of positive kitty thoughts!!

halloween

Anyways- I hope you are all safe from hurricane Sandy, had a great Halloween, and congrats to the newest group of 200 hour Charm City Yoga Teacher Trainee’s!!!

Challenge- Day 1

15 Apr

I know you’ve been wondering where I’ve been.  And it was actually one of my goals to be blogging consistently three times a week and well- the clearly hasn’t been happening.  So I’ve decided to create a challenge for myself to blog every day for 30 days.  Today is day 1.

Are you having a fun weekend????  I’ve been working and in between that sleeping and playing with this guy.

p1

After a traumatizing trip to the vet- Presley is no longer gnawing away at all of his fur…too much.  Who knew that cats needed to be wheat free too?  I’ve changed his diet and now he takes Rescue Remedy as well and it’s actually working.  The people at the pet store Bark really helped me.

I celebrated Easter dinner…and ate way too much.

And I did teach Yoga After Dark which was a HUGE success!  I am so grateful to everyone who showed up and hopefully I will be teaching another one in the summer/fall.  If you missed it- I would love for you to be there next time!!

015I’ve been working a ton lately, working out, yogaing, and spending time with my Brad Pitt and just like everyone else it’s hard to find balance and stay inspired to be on top of your goals.  I started creating my own art journal.  I’m typically not one for journaling-I’ve started one here and there, written a few pages, and then that’s the end of that.  So I took an empty journal, rummaged through some magazines before I tossed them into the recycling and here’s what I came up with so far.

017016

I don’t know what it will turn into but I’ve found some websites that have art journal suggestions too that I’ve been looking at.  I like this one and this one.  I’ve also been checking out Elsie’s blog A Beautiful Mess which is full of creative and inspirational ideas.

Happy Sunday!  See you tomorrow for Day 2!

Hiii my lovely readers.  We all know it’s been a minute- more like two weeks- since I’ve written something but well- I needed a little break.  I needed space.  We all know that feeling.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about life, career, goals, and all of that stuff recently and I saw this list posted on the mirror of a friends bathroom.  I just thought I’d share.

(source)

Something you can do to get yourself thinking is to draw and circle and inside of it write-what do I want?  Outside of it write all of the things that you don’t want. Give yourself 5-10 minutes and just write down what comes to mind.  You don’t have to put a lot of effort or thought into it.  Just an easy way to get your creative juices flowing and help you get closer to what it is that you really want.

____________________________________________________________

Also- you can find me now on Spotify and check out my playlists.  I only have two on there currently because I have typically posted them on here.  But I have made them public and it’s FREE to download.  And of course if you have any other music recommendations I’d love them!

Don’t forget to find me on twitter and on Facebook!

“And still, after all this time, the Sun has never said to the Earth,
"You owe me."
Look what happens with love like that.
It lights up the sky.” ~Rumi

Vibrant and authentic

22 Jan

008Hi! Are you happy it’s Saturday?  I am.  And it snowed.  Well it snowed a little bit so that meant I stayed inside. Pretty much all day.  Life is good I tell you.

How is your weekend unfolding?  Did you shovel snow?  Or did you have a bed day? Kimberly Wilson talks about that in her books- it’s a day where you stay in bed; read, email, talk on the phone, eat, sleep, snuggle- all of that from bed.  Sounds good to me.

Here’s some pictures to show you what my day looked like.

A little of this:

002 003

Yes I have flannel sheets on my bed and that spray water bottle is for when he’s not being so cute and cuddly.  If you have a cat- you know what I’m talking about.

012 013

All those veggies into juice.  Yes I drank it.

019

Lets see- organic spinach, 1 hardboiled egg, garbanzo beans, tuna, onion, avocado-maybe I’m forgetting something.  A little Greek dressing.  It was good Smile

020

Things for goodwill!

005006

All in all a good day I think.

I stayed in last night and I had a few moments of feeling like I was boring and lame because I wasn’t going out, but that quickly passed as I realized that we all need down time.  Time to organize, reflect, and relax.

So we are almost at February and 2012 is in full force.  I’ve read a few blogs recently that talked about how we can choose to live our lives.  One talked about your influence on other people-basically that smiling and being kind to a complete stranger can open up so many possibilities.  Possibilities for you to find joy, kindness, happiness in your own life- you know what I’m talking about. We can choose to find happiness in our own lives.  We can make decisions to move us forwards to the life that we really want.

All of that started to make me think about my work and my life and what it exactly is that I strive to do and who I am striving to be.  I want to be kinder and more loving.  I want to be authentic.

(source)

The answers to questions about who we are, what we want to become, how can we live a vibrant and creative life don’t just necessarily show up when we want them to.  So here are some questions you can ask yourself if you’re thinking the same things (because now that you’re reading this you probably are).

  • If time, money, education, experience, we no issue and you have zero constraints in the world, what would you do?
  • What are you really grateful for?
  • What’s one thing you’d choose to do or purse if you knew you couldn’t fail?
  • Name 8 of the most valuable things in your life
  • What do you really want to have?
  • Who do you really want to be?

There is no one answer to these questions.  There’s no right answer.  These are just some tools to get you thinking.  I’m thinking about them too and writing it all down.  And maybe next month they’ll be a little different and that’s ok.

Everyday, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.  I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.  I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others.  I am going to benefit others as much as I can.  ~Dalia Lama

Take the time to stop.  Breathe.  Smile.  Laugh.  Let go of a grudge.  Let go of anger.  Turn off the tv.  Plant something.  Bake something.  Hug someone.  Be grateful.  Live in the moment.

Happy Saturday <3

014

I have no idea what to call this post hence the name lol.

I am so in love with the fall weather.  Look at the sky! Beautiful.  I had to teach today a little north of the city and I just love smelling the crisp air and I can’t wait to see when the leaves change!

Things have still been a bit crazyyyyyy- but I have some down time tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.  I worked in the teacher training all weekend and I was definitely wiped afterwards!  How was your weekend???

012

I saw my girls- ok there was a before photo that was the “normal” one but when I looked at it on my comp it’s blurry so I went with the “crazy” picture instead.

018

I snuggled with little precious.  Yes- he’s feeling better!

022

I also celebrated Melissa’s bachelorette party!  I don’t know why this was the only picture I took.  But she’s getting married to an amazing guy (Hi Brian!!!) and I am wishing her all the best!

Congrats Melissa!! If you don’t know her- she’s the manager of Charm City Yoga Midtown.

024

Do you know what this is? KOMBUCHA! That weird floaty thing in the bottom is a type of culture- really called a scoby (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts) but we call it the mushroom! If you don’t know what kombucha is- it’s a type of fermented tea that you drink and basically puts the healthy bacteria in and takes out the bad!  A lot of people don’t like the taste but I do! I cannot wait for another week and then I can drink it.

025

I’m just waiting till a new mushroom forms on the top!!  I can’t wait!!!!!

Since it’s Monday I thought I’d post another recipe idea for Meatless Monday! This recipe is not VEGAN but it is Vegetarian.

009

While that may look like sausage on there- it’s vegan! So essentially it’s a veggie pizza that has a light dusting of mozzarella cheese.

Here’s what I did:

004001

The toppings included mushrooms, onion, red pepper, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, and tofurky Italian sausage (which is vegan)

I also made vegan pesto which ended up not being enough so I had to make half with tomato sauce.

003002

Basil, olive oil, vegan parmesan cheese topping, garlic- all to taste.

006

Trade Joe’s whole wheat pizza dough- also vegan!

After

008

Yummmmm Smile  Let me know if you’ve decided to go veg on Monday’s! You can read all about Meatless Monday here.

I wanted to give you all an update on my friend Heather and her son Regan.  Heather is doing amazing well and I just still cannot get over how much strength she has! Regan is stable; he had to be put into a medical coma last week but is now out of that and has his eyes open.  The took out his breathing tube however, it had to be put in and he will have a tracheotomy this week.

I cannot even begin to say how much I appreciate the kind words and thoughts to Heather, her son, and myself during this hard time.  People that don’t even know her ask me how she is and I just love that no matter what, sometimes people can put their needs and wants aside to care about someone else, let alone a stranger.

One of my friends asked me if it’s ok if they  make a meal for Heather even if they don’t know her.  The answer is yes!!! This is the website that has the schedule and information.  Type in the name Keller and the password is Yoga.  If you want to connect with me about Heather feel free to email me at camiekarma@gmail.com

This is the website on Regan’s recovery and progress and like I said- all thoughts and prayers are so appreciated!!!

Meatless Monday or Tuesday

12 Oct

012Hi! How is your week unfolding???  I am so happy that the weather is getting cooler.  I’m just waiting for the leaves to change.  I love fall!e

I went to zumba last night and of course my knee is swollen today so I’ve been doing the usual to-do list around my place today before I have to teach all night.  Paying bills, laundry, dishes, all of that.  I have to take little precious back to the vet yesterday am so- the chaos is finally calming down.  But there are some serious knots in my left shoulder let me tell you.

008

Poor thing- now I’m forcing medicine down his throat.  But if I throw some cat nip in that box.

_________________________________________________________

So I wanted to talk to you guys about Meatless Monday.  The premise behind this is cutting out meat one day a week.  According to their website, the point of going meatless on Monday is that Monday is the beginning of the week- the star over point where you’re  moving on from the previous weeks events and the weekend.  Like a clean slate.

As you all know- I love vegetarian food as well as food in general.  But I think eating veggie meals are important for numerous reasons.  I am not here to preach or to convince you to become vegan or vegetarian (even though there are blogs out there that will try to).  But- some of the main reasons that speak to me are the following:

  1. Your mother told you to eat your veggies- so you just should.  Period.
  2. It is better for the environment.  We cut down trees and plants all day long to make more space for animals that are bred in poor conditions so we can have our steak for dinner. We need plants to live so obviously- we need to stop hurting the landscape.
  3. From personal experience with stomach problems- eating veggies helps with digestion.  The majority of African American and Asians are lactose intolerant- as well as thousands of Americans! I know cheese tastes good.  Seriously- I’m the one who will eat the whole wheel of cheese! But- is the stomach ache really worth the pain? Probably not.  Veggie diets are full of fiber (so yes, duh, if you beans you will be gassy lol)- but you will be regular! I’m just trying to put it nicely.
  4. You will help the animals!!!!  Who doesn’t love animals!?  Come on- everyone does.  I have read numerous books and seen many movies about animal cruelty that beaks my heart and makes me physically ill.  I’m not asking you to read those, but it will change the way you eat if you think about that before you grill up your burger.
  5. Colon cancer runs in my family and there are many links to a carnivorous diet and cancer.  My cousin who is 37 (!!!) had to have surgery  last year and had to deliver her daughter 2 months early because she was diagnosed with colon cancer.  She and her family (husband and the children) have now been vegan for almost a year!

Ok so those are just a few and I am happy to go into it more if you guys would like.  But I would love it if you take the Meatless Monday pledge on their website and see if you can go meat free once a week! I promise- it’s easy!!  And yes- lordy- you will get enough protein!

Here are some ideas!

026

Jalapeño cilantro hummus

Greek bean and veggie salad

Coconut curried veggies and lentils

Vegan Pizza

All the smoothies you want- click here for ideas

010

Green juice- this one was half a stalk of celery, abt 3 handfuls of spring lettuce mix, 3/4 lemon, 1 pear, and 1 apple plus fresh ginger- so good!

002 004

003

005

Yeah- too much to wrap it all up- wrap fail! Lol

Let’s see- this had lettuce spring mix, chopped onion, tomato, avocado, bean sprouts, and a dash of dressing if you like of your choice.  You could always humus too!

So you can eat your veggies (like your mother told you to) and be full and healthy!

Here’s a list of other resources that can help you make meatless Monday easy! And of course these are some links and books that I also like.

Peas and Thank You

Love Veggies and Yoga

Daily Garnish

Diet for a New America by John Robbins- one of the first books I read by my first vegan friend back in high school

The Ethics of What We Eat by Peter Singer (he is a wonderful philosopher and has written for years about animal rights.  I heard him speak in college.

Crazy Sexy Diet by Kris Carr- just go to her website and read about her.  LIVING with cancer for years because she is vegan.  Amazing.

The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone- Check out her healthy living website as well.

Yoga and Vegetarianism by Sharon Gannon

The Moosewood Cookbook by Mollie Katzen- great  and easy vegetarian recipes- a def go to!

The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose- turned me on to juicing, raw healthy soups and smoothies!! **From personal experience, if you don’t do raw on the regular, it can be a bit rough on your tummy.  Just saying.**

Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen by Ani Pho This book is amazing!  I have made TONS of her recipes.  Love her!

Eat, drink, and be vegan by Dreena Burton

So these are just a FEW of the many many resources that are out there and you can start with easy steps like switching milk to almond or rice milk and using Earth balance instead of butter.

When I was in San Francisco in December, I met a woman who owned a vegan restaurant.  She asked if I was vegan and when I said no- she told me that I should be because the animals would thank me and that I had good karma.  Smile

Vegetarianism preserves live, health, peace, the ecology, creates a more equitable distribution of resources, helps to feed the hungry, encourages nonviolence for the animal and human members of the planet, and is a powerful aid for the spiritual transformation of the body, emotions, mind, and spirit. ~Gabriel Cousens

This is vegan! I’ve showed you this picture before!  It’s making me hungry just think about how good it was! Yummmmm!

Let me know what you guys think!!!

A little bit of chaos

9 Oct

008Hi! How are you???? This week has definitely been a crazy whirlwind rollercoaster so I am glad it’s the weekend!  No real plans here though which is nice.  I went Pazo last night for dinner, sipped some bubbly and indulged in some yummy hummus.  Then I headed to Kooper’s Tavern with friends to hear my friend Steve’s band play.  They were amazing as always.  And today was spent family bonding with M, my mom, and my grandmother going to TJ Maxx and Costco.  Fun times.  Let’s just say I’m tired after that.  Lol.

My friend Heather’s son Regan is doing better.  He is stable after they removed part of his skull to help ease with some of the swelling and are slowing taking down the sedation.  Heather is doing better too which makes me so happy.  Going to the hospital was rough and I definitely had a rollercoaster of emotions going on this week! I am just still hoping and praying that he comes out of all of this ok.  There is a website that now has a calendar of food donations for Heather and her family (she has 2 other children!) if you know her and would like to help out.  Type in Keller and the password is yoga.  Let me know if you have questions.  But please continue to keep my friend and her family in your thoughts and prayers and send them good vibes!

So- this week also included this:

002

On the right is the most amazing curried tofu salad that I have ever had from Wegmas.  So good I tell you!  I need to know how to make it.  And then on the left was some sort of chickpea salad.  Yummm all around.

I also went to zumba this week of course.

004

Cynthia is the most amazing teacher ever!!! And she can booty shake like no one else.  Winking smile

And of course all my zumba buddies were there.

007

Let’s just say that the random girl I asked to take our picture didn’t really want to.  Lol.

And look what I got!

011

One of my yoga students brought it to me and she said that my class on Friday mornings was the favorite part if her week! So sweet.

009

Hi Kerry!!!

And to top the week off I had to take little precious to the vet!  I thought he maybe was having some flea issues, so I gave him a treatment and then he was still gnawing at his hind leg.  So what do I do? I go to tarjay, I bought him some flea spray, I spray it on him at home, and what happens? Oh yeah- one of the side effects is massive salivation! Did that happen? Yes.  So I and holding him underneath the faucet in the tub and he’s wailing like I’m killing him.  I call the vet and they told me that the product that I used was the worst one ever and that it was like poison.  Then why the hell do they sell it at the store!?!? God only knows.  All in all- he’s fine.  More traumatized by the water, being forced in the carrying cage, and riding in the car.  Poor thing.

003

So lot’s of ups and downs this week as you can see!  I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend and savoring every moment!!

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Unplug

2 Oct

002Hi there! How was your weekend??? Things have been pretty fabulous over here on my end.  I’ve had a pretty relaxing weekend as I worked all last weekend and just kind of felt like I needed some time to do relax and do nothing.  Do you ever feel that way???

On Friday after I taught at Charm City Yoga, I jolted off to Roland Park Country School to teach yoga to some lovely high schoolers.

One of my oldest childhood friends, Annie, teaches dance there so I usually teach them twice a year.  I love it because the girls are young and fun and eager to learn and try  new things.

007

008

I used to dance back in the day so it’s always nice to teach girls something I love who are pursuing something I did when I was their age.

The journey between who you once were,

and who you are now becoming,

is where the dance of life really takes place.

- Barbara De Angelis  .

After that, I helped M move…again.  I really detest moving.  The last time I moved- it was a less than pleasant experience hauling crap up four flights of steps.  I think my friends and family really saw an ugly side of me that day.

Here’s M in her storage space.  You don’t want to see what the inside of the place looked like.  Lol.

010

Ridiculous.

Shilpa helped too!

009

Even though M tried to boss us around, we reminded her that we were helping her so she couldn’t get too uppity with us.  Lol.

I don’t like moving because it is just a pure state of chaos. The packing, the unpacking, you don’t know where you want to put things, ugh.  I don’t like it.  Not to mention, your gross, sweating, and have a headache and backache by the end of the whole damn ordeal.  Lol

Moving on!  No pun intended!

**Something to think about**

Last night I was talking to a friend, let’s call him Mr. T, and we both were talking about work affecting you when you’re not at work.  He was telling me that people call, text, email him, when he’s away on vacation and I could only feel his pain.  I think it’s hard to really unplug sometimes.

027

Even though we physically cannot go on vacation every time we need a break (note my cell phone in the corner there) I think it’s important to take a break, step away, and relax.

So how do you unplug?

Have a tea or coffee break

001

004

Spend time with friends

004

003

Do some yoga- of course

058

Do something creative- like knitting Smile

002

Hang out with your furry buddies

012

Take a nap

Read a new book

Sip some bubbly

Go on a hike

Write in your journal

Go to a museum

Enjoy the cool fall weather!!!

As the first leaves change their colors for autumn’s big show, we welcome the cool crispness in the air.

**Something to think about**

When I was pulling up to the gym tonight- the song All you need is love by the Beatles came on the radio.  I immediately started smiling and of course singing a long.  That song has sentimental meaning to me and one of those is that I grew up listening to the Beatles.  Another is that I got to see LOVE in Las Vegas a few years and that was an experience I will never forget.

love

But it’s really the lyrics that made me think- even after all the hundreds of times I’ve heard the song.

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done. Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game It’s easy.

There’s nothing you can make that can’t be made. No one you can save that can’t be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time – It’s easy.

All you need is love, all you need is love, All you need is love, love, love is all you need. Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. All you need is love, all you need is love, All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

There’s nothing you can know that isn’t known. Nothing you can see that isn’t shown. Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be. It’s easy.

All you need is love, all you need is love, All you need is love, love, love is all you need. All you need is love (all together now) All you need is love (everybody) All you need is love, love, love is all you need. ~Lennon and McCartney

I think when you surround yourself in a loving environment- with friends, family, the pets, food, and home(mine is with a lot of warm blankets, scented candles, healthy food, and a lint roller for the cat hair!) that comforts you- at the end of the day you can’t help but feel the LOVE yourself.  Right?  At least that’s how I feel.  Even when you have those bad days or dark moments, you can still take the time at the end of it all to realize that life is precious and that it is GOOD.  We are all given the opportunity to lead blissfully happy and full lives.  You just have to choose to jump in feet first and enjoy it! Because like the song says:

There’s nothing you can make that can’t be made. No one you can save that can’t be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time – It’s easy. ~John Lennon and Paul McCartney

You just have to be willing to choose love and realize that you don’t only need to give it, but you deserve to have it too. Chase your dreams, achieve your goals, figure out how you want to live your life- for you.  At least that’s what I think.

Time for me to faceplant into bed!

Love love love, C

Hey hey- How was your Monday??  I know- it comes up so fast I can barely stand it!  was looking over my calendar trying to figure out when I can go camping for a weekend and well- things are being booked up by the second! I guess that’s the way it goes sometime.  Things were pretty productive over here…taught some classes, iced my knee, went to Wegmans, helped my sis try to find a new apartment…all very exciting.

So look at this:

Holy amazing.  I was destined to be a yogini.  Lol. I looked at my phone this am and my childhood friend Annie sent this to me.  I cracked up laughing.

Look at this one:

Apparently I loved cats- even back then.

Meowwwwww!

So funny.  Look at my teeth- so bad!  Can you tell I was a thumb sucker? Thank you mother for my braces and I still wear my retainer from 7th.   grade every night.  Yes, I do.  And so does my sister.  Lol

Here’s something you don’t know about me.  Well first one thing you do know.  I love to cook.  Well- concoct things really.  I can make green juice, I can make smoothies of all kinds, dips (crap dip, spinach, taco, hummus, black bean etc), I can bake bread, cookies, muffins, yummy salads, who knows!

But what you don’t know is- when I cook, the kitchen looks like a bomb went off.  I almost took a picture but…it’s that bad lol.

However, I have a yummy vegan recipe for you!

I call this Coconut curried lentils and veggies

Directions:

Steam broccoli, cauliflower, and bean sprouts till they’re cooked.

At the same time, cook 1 cup of lentils (add 1 1/2 cup of water and boil, then simmer)

Once all of that is cooked- add the veggies to the lentils.  Add curry powder, chopped onions, chopped apples and 1/2 cup of coconut milk.

Stir and simmer.

Add garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin if you like- to your taste.  I don’t ever really measure things when I’m making it up myself.

You can’t see- but there was definitely some messy spilling on the side!

You have to let everything simmer for a little while because of the lentils.  So simmer and taste and when you’re finished- pour in a bowl and enjoy!!!

I burned my tongue several times though- so as my granny used to do when I was little- fan your napkin over top of it a few times! Lol

So I have some work to do tonight but I just want you all to know about my Costa Rican Yoga Retreat.  Please check all the details!

I hope you had a great Monday!
